i recently picked up a book on faeries (by brian froud and alan lee) and they aren't as sweet as i thought. haha. if you can suggest other books on the fae folk, i'd appreciate it.
that's funny that you mentioned labyrinth as one of your favorite movies because i just saw it this week. the end of that movie taught me something about perceived control and those who willingly give up their power.
hmmm...the best faerie book that i can recommend is "The Great Encyclopedia of Faeries: Secrets Revealed" by Pierre Dubois. This book further illustrates that not all of them are sweet, beware, but it is written very beautifully along with the visual art itself. i really enjoy froud's books too though.
"love me...do as i say & i will be your slave!" that line always confused me when i was a little girl & it still does :) it just goes to show how far gone people can get living in their own lies. no one has any "power over" anyone unless it is allowed. yah, i know that movie by heart!

every morning is a seed.
what shall we nourish it with?
how shall we cultivate it?
& how do we give thanks for it?
thanks!
i played around with a few ideas before i settled on this design...but i LOVE it. the artist came up with the idea to put a shadow under his head.
thanks for the welcome!

the universe is interested in your success.
you were put here to live in abundance.
your desires are sacred.
