My Mission In Life

I think it would be
"cliche"
to say....
"I want to make a difference in the world"
......So I won't say that.
I have a "taken" to the youth
I'm the one who sits on the corner with the boys
to pick their brains about what they worry about....
or the one who stops the pregnant teenager in the corner store
and inquire about her needs
so I can link her with resources
or give words of encouragement
I can't sit around a group of adults and ask
"WHAT'S WRONG
WITH OUR YOUTH THESE DAYS"
....... I'm the one determined
to get the answers for myself
.....even if it requires me to talk to atleast
one teenager a day
for the rest of my life....

I have a love for Spoken word but I don't write myself. I like what most people like.....great food, good music, and an Excellent circle of friends

Inspiration

My children....when the slightest thought of failure or giving up crosses my mind...... My children are constant reminders to re-boot my system and roll with the punches. "I CAN'T" is a phrase not allowed in my house....and every once in awhile, they remind me to practice what I preach!
