Waistbeads

Is an African tradition where girls wear beads around their waists and the beads change throughout their lives as they encounter a new rites of passage. Traditionally little girls where a strand of one color at puberty then they receive another one that isn't to be seen and worn under clothes until marriage or for their mate. I only know of one person who has a site about them. Sewra at http://waistbeads.com/ But the are easy to make find beads you love and string them the size of your waist to be snug or a little loose all personal preference.
