Thanks for stopping by! I work with teen girls as a volunteering gig for now because #1 I love participating in community service and (2) I feel like teen girls needs special attention. In my culture it's a taboo to talk about sex thus lots of girls don't know the lesson of womanhood and lack self-esteem and I just want to work with teens and perhaps empower them. Also I would love to send a message to the Haitian community that mothers/fathers need to have a better relationships with their daughters/sons. I volunteer for a magazine company where the writing is strictly by teens. Hopefully I'll have a full-time job in that field soon...

Hi sis this is Desla and thank u for the lovely compliments... The metals I use come from a hard ware store here in chicago... alot of the artist here us car wire brass, coppers, silvers, wire. I also found some wire that is used as curtain wire it comes in black, brass and copper too. All my jewelry is recycled and cleaned with anti bacterial products. My hooks are sterling silver, and surgical steel from micheals or hobbie lobbie craft stores. Some of the hooks at these stores come in copper, silver, sterling, and brass too. So it just depends I try to be cautious of people's allergies and I havent has any complaints yet. My customers r good at telling me what their allergies r anyway so that helps. No surprises. I hope I answered ur question to the best of my knowledge. Looking forward peace..

I feel so blessed to be with child.. it has been a journey.. and as I come into the last few months of journey it is the most beautiful yet overwhelming emotions Ive ever experienced. Coming to terms that my travels will slow down (for a while anyways until he gets of age (yes HE!!!) and they will never be the same.. that it is just not be in this world I have another life to take care of.. it is so much to know that I have to keep this life alive inside of me and when he comes forth into the physical world of life I have to keep him alive here as well... again... beautiful yet overwhelming..
I have kept up with my vegan/vegaterian life style pretty well and feel really good with eatting the way I eat... continously healing and creating... for a while my creations slowed down yet lately Ive had a burst of energy and excitement to create... to be able to make art to provide for my self and my youth...
