My Mission In Life

My mission in life is to educate, plant seeds for awarness, bring warmth and laughter, and create in order to bring acceptance not tolerance.

My Job

Full time student, Part time Call Center Rep, All the time Writer

My Hobbies

I love to create. I either paint, draw, color, sing a song I made up to make me laugh, or write and I love to write. I find time to write even though I am so busy, if not I would lose the little bit of me I am clinging to.

Inspiration

I find inspiration in many things. The terrace in my new apartment is my favorite place to collect inspiration. There, I could find inspiration in just about everything from the weather to my favorite tree that reminds me of one of my favorite hang out spots in Berkeley.

Movies & Documentaries

Dead Presidents, To Wong Fu, Spike Lee Joints, Badasss, The Spook Who Sat By The Door, Love Jones, among other things that I can't remember at the moment.

My Favorite Magazines

Ebony and Essence because my mom was featured in the magazine.

Favorite Books

The Black Rose, The Blank Panthers Speaks, The Coldest Winter Ever, Boy Soldier (I think that's the name), Cupcake Brown, African American Literature Anthology (from my African American Lit class) this is my favorite Anthology and I have been building my library using it as my shopping list.

Divine Purpose

Peace sis!

Thanks for the buddy request! I figured I'd drop by your page to send you some love and light. Your post about your job really resonated with me cause I've been there. Since I was a child, I've always known that I wanted to be a fashion designer. But for 10 years I've allowed my creative light to dim as I worked in the corporate world. So as I say this to you, I also say it to myself...
