Getting Here

Wow. Is this how it happens?

I've been saying it for months now .... years maybe .... how much I wish there was a community of women again, gathered around the well .... a non-competitive place of creative types who just simply love being women. Preferably a circle of sisters .... of all shades and shapes. Talented sisters from all kinds of backgrounds. Living out loud and free. Unafraid. Women who love music and art and food and plants .... who make music .... healing women who were living frugally and consciously long before global warming and "sustainability" where a thought in anyone's mind. Sisters who were sewing their own bags and mixing their own body butters long before "going green" became a household slogan.

So, belonging to the bookswap club that I do, I finally get Queen Afua's Heal Thyself in the mail today after waiting over a month for it, which makes me think of a sisterfriend who was telling me about a Sacred Sister circle that she was once a part of .... which makes me wonder if there are any circles like that around here .... and of course I have to put it in Google because it's almost midnight and who am I going to call with such a question at this hour?

And wouldn't you know I stumble on YMIB, on a post by SoulLiving ... about a book circle for Queen Afua's book, Sacred Woman ... and I immediately shout for joy because, hey, how's that for synchronicity?

So here I am ... delighted to be by this well .... in this circle of Light, Love, and higher consciousness....
