There is a great website out ther entitled "kheprient.com" (Khepri Enterprises), they have a series of books that come with Swahili flashcards. Each book is divided into Language Arts, Mathematics, Science/Social Science, and Foreign Language sections. They even have the ansers to the tests in the workbooks as well!!! Their prices are pretty reasonable too.
Does anyone else have any resources like this that one could use within the home-schooling cirriculum?

Jambo Sista!
Asante (thank you) for the last resource. I am thinking of using their materials- kiswahili cards.
A resource I have used more recently is Sankofa publishing http://www.sankofapublishing.com. I met these sisters/owners at an Council of Independent Black Institutions ( CIBI) conference two years ago. Every teacher that attended their workshop were raving about their books and teaching methods. It is an holistic approach to teaching. Meaning it is multi sensory and cross curriculum ( encompassing math, science, reading, and writing) kwk. My son enjoys their colorful pages and photos of Afrikan children that look like him. I ordered the KMT creation story phonics reader and the math book and cards for preschoolers. Once we have gotten through these I plan to check out some others. Also CIBI the Council of Independent Black Institutions has some texts which we utilize as a family. The two I like is " Nationbuilding : Theory and practice in Afrikan centered education" by Kwame Agyei Akoto and Positive Afrikan Images for Children" by The Council of Independent Black Institutions;) The latter is a social studies curriculum.
