...and i'm trying not to get too stressed out!
For the next two weekends myself and hundreds of other Bay Area Artists will be participating in the Pro Arts Open Studios exhibition. Artists from all of the Bay will be opening thier studios to the public and this year, i've decided to participate.
Eventhough this is my second time, this year i'm feeling a bit more frazzled, as i am also re-doing (changing, painting, building, rearranging) my garage/studio.
However, i am really excited and would love to meet some of the Bay Area YMIB sisters. So if you are here in Oakland or the greater Bay and happen to be in the West Oakland Area this weekend or the next, PLEASE stop by, see my art, share a Hansen's or just come and say "Hi fellow YMIB sister."

For the longest time, i couldn't even "acknowledge" that i was an artist. Thinking i had to be professionally trained, comparing myself to other "artists" and all that, but now, I'm claiming that part of me, for it truly is a passion of mine. So to be showing my work and opening up my space is a huge deal but one that really brings out a deep smile from my soul.
Thank you ladies for allowing me to share this...hopefully, i'll get to meet one or two of you this weekend.

I hope it went well, I just moved from Oakland last month and I miss all the W. Oakland artists, it's a shame I never got to meet you! Your art is lovely, and congratulations on putting yourself out there and sharing it with the world. That's a big step and many people are afraid to take it and never do. You're doin it sis!
