Great idea!
As my Princess is only five, this movie and content may be a bit over her head. However, I do like the idea of giving quizzes. I shall be conducting quizzes/discussion questions for movies and videos that are more suited to her ability level. This way the youth truly view with a purpose.
Thanks for a great homeschooling idea!

This is so great!
This is such a good idea! I am going to make note of the movie quizzes! So, how did they do on the test afterwards? I love creative and fun ways to learn...sitting in one spot and reading is such a bore most of the time!
I am beyond excited to see the homeshooling forum up and going, and I will be back with some input on learning to read tips and games. YAY for homeschoolers!

Soulliving, Since the second quiz was much longer than the first and I slipped in a couple of research questions that the answers weren't given in the movie they got a few more incorrect. That's the good part though, because they were so anxious to replay the movie to find the correct answers and then couldn't Wait to get on the computer to research for the others. For instance,Homeland security is mentioned in the movie but it doesn't explain what it is or how it functions. It's really exciting to hear them go about the day saying did you know this and did you know that.Pulling out piggy banks to examine dollars. This little assignment has led to so much more than I anticipated. It's 10 a.m. and they are already asking me what movie are we watching today?Even volunteering to do the math & Lang.arts assignments now so they can get on to the movies and quiz.Don't get me wrong, yes these are fun assignments, but we WILL be expanding on each and every part of the quizzes.Like an entire unit on the founding fathers, bill of rights, constitution etc.But for now I have to seek out another appropriate movie.I'll keep you posted. Peace, Indigo
