Nzinga,for your post.I know with all of us taking care of our household,homeschooling,etc.It can become difficult to post all the time.Last month,we started on our election unit lesson. The unit consist of every core subject.We've also added the debates Essays as part of the unit.On voting day I will be taking two of the kids to the polls with me,so they can get a first hand glimpse of the process.My hubby will take two with him.My son will also take two with him.I listed the links for those of you who may want to give it a try.

I am also including a lesson on the recession/Great Depression into my presidential lessons. As the focus in the news and in many pocket books is the economy My husband and I have found that it is the perfect time to create a unit of study on how both presidential candidates would deal with the economy pros and cons.
