Chicken or boca patty, cheese or almond milk.
Its lunch time and the spot is poppin wit all the seductive things I used to love.
The hot dog is lookin sexxy, juicy, and smellin like it wants a bite,
and the cheese cake is seducin(sp) me with its strawberry hangin off its tasty lookin...
Oh larwd, what to do...
To cheat on my new companion would be a sin,
vegan has done me sooo good.
Every night he puts me to bed satisfied with no pain and wakes me up with even mo love.
What is a girl to do?
Chicken does nothin but hurt me,
but oh how it does me right, if even for a few...
The cheese aint no betta, he'll come into my life for a quicky and leave a bad taste in my mouth and pain in my tummy.
I'll stay faithfull,
vegan has been sooo good to me.
Peace & Blessings I totally
Peace & Blessings
I totally feel you, I'm lactose intolerant and new as well to the veg lifestyle. I find it hard to resist cheese and cookies made with milk and egg products. Just last night after drinking a kidney liver flush I had two cookies and suffered for it. All I can do is pray and shop for vegan cookies:)
I'm inspired
hey sis, love the poem. i gave up meat several months ago and it was actually easier than i thought. when tempted to eat a burger i just think about what it really is, a slaughter living creature, and that pretty much turned me off flesh food. It's been an intersting journey. havent gotten all of the dairy out of me yet, but I'm working on that. Thanks for the inpiration
I'm Glad Your Inspired
I am happy to see that you are looking beyond the flesh. I was speaking with a co-worker of mine and he was like "being a vegetarian isn't a real life." I asked him, "well what do you think they did before fire and the concept of bbq? Eat plants!" My body actually forced me off of animal products. The only animal products that don't give my digestive system a painful workout experience are honey and eggs. Heavy animal fats and flesh would make my chest tight and my stomach cramp when I ate them, dairy would give me heart burn and make me burp to the point of choking sometimes, and fish is not as bad if it is steamed or raw.
Really...
...enjoyed the creativity you put into this sentiment.....i wish you all the best as it looks like you are determined to 'stay right' :).
I love how...
I love how creatively you put this! Girl, you're a mess! lol! I feel you - I think we all can in some way or another. Hang in there - you're making the right decision. Your body will thank you!
Just google what you're looking for - whether it's restaurants, recipes or support groups - we're out there!
