Peace & Blessings Sisters,
I'm just putting out an inquiry to see if there are any fellow military spouses on ymib.
My husband, a National Guard Soldier, is currently away at training, and has been for about four weeks ... two more weeks to go.
I've been holding down a full-time job and all the responsibilities of two young ones, today my oldest turned five and my youngest is 19 months.
... I'd love to network with you and converse. We share a common bond.
Be Delivered!
Army Wife
Hi Delivered ,
I'm a Army wife of 3 young adults males ages now (21,17/15). We have been thru 2 deployment and due for a 3rd deployment come next year in August or Sept 09. The first one was a 12 month deployment (Feb 2004-March 2005) and the second one was 15 months (June 2006-Sept 2007). For me each deployment was harder but different on many levels. But the second deployment return has been the hardest and most difficult. I'll be more than happy to converse with you.
Navy Wife
Hi there,
I'm a navy wife and we are currently on shore duty now but my husband will return back to sea duty soon. We have done a 6 month deployment before and they are not easy especially with little ones. I have 3 children all under the age of 5 and I'm in my late 20's. I think being a military spouse is not easy but it has it's benifits.
On tip I have learn being a military spouse is that you have to stay busy. Find something you enjoy doing and have fun doing it, whether it be your job or a hobby.
I keep my self busy with an online women's and girls clothing store, check it out.

I think military spouses are some of the strongest women out there, in body and mind!
Sister of an Iraq War Vet...
and so, on some level, I can relate. My brother was with the army's first installment of ground troops into Iraq in 2003. I cannot explain the way him being there made me feel. I barely ate, and looking back, I don't remember sleeping during that time. The Universe, thankfully, brought him home safely a year later.
I know it gets rough, sis, but hang in there. The Universe knows what IT is doing...trust in that. This is an opportunity for your spirit to grow. Trust the process, and allow it to unfold as it must...you will be an even stronger wife and mother because of it.
Know that you be taken care of...and you will manifest the support you so need at this time. And know that we are all here...myself included...for you to reach out to.
Peace and blessings!
Saarchi
