Today is the last day of the seventh month of this year, July, it is also the last day of a waning moon cycle. So tomorrow when you awake the name of the month will change and the moon will be in a new course. There will be a lot of fresh and new energy in the air.

A new moon in Leo will be a time of EGO. Leo, marked by the lion , is the sign that represents the ego. Leo is ruled by the Sun. There is a lot of passion, heat, pizazz, dignified, and dramatic energies associated with Leo. In Leo you feel the reign of the lion. The lion is a sign of royalty, often referred to as the King of the animal kingdom. Yet at the same time it is deemed king because of its ferociousness. In Leo we must challenge ourselves to remain balanced because the pull of the ego can be extrememly STRONG. However the beauty of the pull of the ego is that it often brings us actually closer to our soul in our spirit, as we realize its presence and pull.
During this moon we are going to often feel grand and royal, we may feel very attractive and hot. We may be finally looking in the mirror and accepting and enjoying our reflections in ways which we have not done in awhile. At the same time, all this attention to the physical has to be balanced, and this will be our challenge perhaps, accepting and loving ourselves for the physical and the non-physical. We must fall in love with the non-physical elements in ourself as we fall in love with the physical elements of ourselves. It is a beautiful and necessary feeling to look at yourself and feel attractive and give thanks for your appearance, it is a gift, and we are all regal. But when we begin to judge ourselves and others only by the physical we end up shortchanging so much of ourselves.

We must take the time to think about how we are helping one another and connecting with our fellow human beings. This is also a great time for artists. Leo is a very creative moon, so this is a great time to start new projects and begin to turn the canvas in your mind into form. Leo is also a very very romantic sign and will invite romance into your life if you are seeking it. This could be a great day to take the time to meditate and invite romance to join form in life or to start to compile a list of the traits that you seek in your partner and start inviting those energies into form
There is likely to be a sense of push and pull during this moon, however the beauty of push and pull is that we learn so much from it and are able to grow.
