I think that what most of us want is certain quality of life where we can inspire, be inspired, and be our best selves while contributing to our communities in some way, shape or form.

As of this week, I am officially part time at my day job -- 2.5 days a week -- and I am moving accomplishing another goal -- teaching at the college level (which I begin next week). I will still be away from home 4 days/week (I take the little one to work on Saturdays), but by the end of June, I will only be going to work two days/week.

My daughter's school has a summer program, so beginning in July, she will see me when she gets off the bus 3 days a week. Again, I thank the heavens for her amazing school.

But that's not all. I have been working on establishing my own business that uses media to explore the black female experience, and as of yesterday, I have officially launched Super Hussy Media.

This has truly been a labor of love. Finally, all of my life and work experience (publishing, finance, marketing and education) and years of school have come together. I must say that I have also been inspired by YMIB and so many of the fabulous, intelligent and savvy women that contribute to this site, as well as run operations of their own.

I hope some of you get the chance to take a look at the site and send me some feedback. I truly value the opinions of the beautiful women that I have had the opportunity to interact with via YMIB.
