so i was watchin snippets of joseph campbell's the power of myth on youtube.com
i believe it was part 6 of the bliss and sacrifice portion of the piece
and he was talking about sacred space...and he spoke on it as not necessarily a tangible space like a room or a section of floor...but he said that sacred space can be a time that you observe each day.
and that blew my mind...he was basically like erybody should have a time each day in which they don't know what happened on the news or who their friends are...and he said that that is where creativity will take hold...or something to that effect
he said that you may not notice anything happening in the beginning but trust that it is working.
i've also taken some space for myself AWAY from other people including my boyfriend. this has assisted me greatly in not feeling so overwhelmed. now if i could manage to make myself go to bed at a decent hour...who KNOWS what might happen!
going to bed on time,wow!
if you find any solutions, hook a sista up! smiless the main thing I can contribute to not going to bed at a decent hour is, throughout the day my energy is not equally distrubuted because my diet is not as it should be- I perk up late in the day when I should have energy first thing in the morning, soooo I'm changing my diet and on a quest for balance
i'm not good at it...but...
the few times that i've been able to do it
i had a schedule
like for my day i did it on my google calendar
and i wrote my bedtime down just like it was one of my business appointments.
it was VERY helpful!

time away
within the last year I have been taking "time away" in various ways and I have gained so much from it. yesterday I was listening to a podcast by Sam Chandler and he was talking about taking a hour a day to connect with your creative mind. grap a pen and paper and write creatively about what evers on your mind. This way you can connect your creativity with something tangible by comparing notes from previous creative hours. I'm a daydreamer and I found this idea useful because this bring order to my overactive creative imagination. Me, I'd rather record it, so this weekend I'm gonna get a microphone and try it out. I'll let you know how it goes
WORD!
that's what's up...
speaking of, i need to revamp my goddesspace. there used to be a hell of a lot of ase swirling around, but now it feels a little flat. i'll have to re-style it to fit my needs...
