I love vegetables!! When I heard that there was a group in my neighborhood who is starting a CSA Farm share this summer....I knew I had to participate!!....Organic Vegetables delivered every week from a farm upstate NY. If you live in NY, you can find out if there is a CSA Farm share in your area by going to the "Just Food" website. Every CSA Farm share is different but generally the price that you pay depends on your income. It's very affordable!!
This week I received:
• 1/2 lb. Snap Peas
• 1 bunch Baby Bok Choy
• 1/2 lb. Green Beans
• 1 head Cauliflower
• 1 bunch Beets
• 1 bunch Japanese Turnips
• 1/2 lb. Salad Greens
• 1 lb. Cucumber
• 1 lb. Zucchini
• 1 lb. Summer Squash

This is a wonderful...
...endeavor! And I am really enjoying the pic. Thanks for sharing.
raw or any fancy dish?
Salaam
yum! how do you prepare them? do you have them raw? I would love your advice as I also visit the farmers market in my city and sometimes I run out of choices on preparing a meal with my produce other than having them raw.
Cheers!
Organic Vegetables
Hi,
I cook most of my vegetables. I find a lot of good recipes on MarthaStewart.com. and cookinglight.com. My sister is a cookbook freak , so I get a lot of vegetarian recipes from her cookbooks. Last week I roasted the beets and made a beet salad with feta cheese. I grilled the squash and string beans. Did a stir fry with the snap peas with toasted almonds. I made turnip and potato fritters....It's really good...you can't even taste the turnips. I still have a lot of vegetables left...I'm thinking about making a quiche this week:)
