Do you clean GREEN? Share some of your favorite natural cleaning tips & products by leaving a comment! There are so many chemicals within mainstream household cleansers that you would think many of us would have more asthma and bronchial issues than we do. Taking a more organic or DIY approach to cleaning your home is not only eco-friendly, but can really ease the pain that your body and lungs feel when using the harsh stuff. I personally like to use lots of lemon on my counter tops and sometimes a bit of orange. The aroma is fantastic, fresh, and healthy! Here are a few of our favorite Green cleaning companies on the market that is definitely worth a try:
Featured Below: 1. Mrs. Meyers Clean Day, 2. 7th Generation, 3. Caldrea, 4. Shaklee.
These could make some of the best housewarming gifts in my opinion. What better way to celebrate a new home...healthy & clean! Just nestle some cutely packaged items in a natural/reusable basket or small laundry basket/hamper, and voila...the perfect housewarming gift! This pre-made gift basket featured below among many other can be purchased from Green Kits.

here's one of my favorite episodes that fits in with this topic on how to make your own products
Simplicity
I'm in the process of converting my home into a more eco friendly, GREEN space. I also love to use lemon juice on the counters. I typically cut up a lemon every morning for my ginger or peppermint tea and instead of using the cutting board I cut right on the counter so the extra juice can be used to clean with.
A personal favorite of mine is the baking soda and vinegar combo. I love to use them to clean the stove and vent hood in the kitchen. I've found the combo to be the best for getting grime, cooking oil and stains off of my cooking surfaces without damaging the surface or my lungs. I dispise over cleaner and the last two apartment move outs I've used baking soda and vinagar to clean the inside and outside of the stove with no problem.
I also like to use the combo for soaking dishes after cooking sticky stuff and tomato products. I find that it keeps my ceramic cookware unstained and lifts even the worst food build up from my pots and pans. This combo also leaves everything smelling FRESH. No scent, just fresh. If i want a scent I may add lavander EO.
I love Seventh Generation dishwashing liquid. My Kingman balks whenever I buy it but he knows I'm converting the household and he'll get to use Dawn for only a short period of time.
