Whether you are a kinky or curly gal, Kinky-Curly, a natural hair line by founder Shelley Davis, is bound to give your hair smoothness and gloss! What was most impressive about this line, was that there were no harsh scents floating through the room when you twist off the lid. I must admit that I was a bit skeptical, as my hair is very kinky, and as I glazed over my locs in desperate need of a twist and turn, I figured, why not! This line totally surprised me. My hair texture is very coarse and extremely thick. After washing my hair, I rubbed in a little of the "Knot Today" leave in conditioner and detangler made up of extracts of wild cherry bark, marshmallow root and horsetail and it immediately seemed to seal in the moisture., but I simply fell in love with their "Curling Custard", an infusion of horsetail, chamomile, nettle, marshmallow, organic aloe vera juice, and agave nectar. After applying a dab of this lavishly sweet and subtle custard onto my wet locs along with a few twists around my finger, I was shocked. Not only did my locs gleam of shine, but the custard worked almost as a gel would, without the greasiness and harsh chemicals. My locs went from frayed to smooth and firm, and best of all one it dries, it sets for quite some time. So if you have been using gels or wax on your hair, you may want to give this custard a try instead...your hair will thank you for it.
Once your hair is dry, applying their gloss pomade will add a pleasant and very light jajoba & lemon scent and shine to your hair. Made with fortified avocado oil, borage oil, black currant oil, jajoba oil, pomegranate oil, soybean & safflower oils, meadowfoam, and lemon essential oils. What more could you want out of a gloss!
Their packaging is very professional! Coming in plastic bottles with all graphics printed directly on them, this makes it easy to keep in th shower/bath area without risking the chance of paper labels rubbing off or the words bleeding through should it get wet. Best of all this line can be used on any type of hair ,whether, straight, chemically treated, thick, curly, coarse, it really does seem to conform to what you need, and it definitely won me over as a wonderful product to use when up keeping my locs. I have definitely added Kinky-Curly to my list of hair pampering must haves!

I have very long , long dry hair, and can use just about anything that is created for curly haircare to give me moisture. My long locks suck it up, It my be my Indian decent that allows this I think. I ordered Knot Today years ago for my step daughter who is 25% white and 75% black to try on her hair and I ended up with it. I loved it right away! It was very moisurizing and the smell was good. In my opion this is good for any hair type that seeks moisture. Great product for med curls. However for kiny curls you will need more but you can always cocktail!!
