Sewing with Cultural Style - Enter Our Drawing!

I met ymib's illustrious founder, Ericka Taylor, several years ago at a trunk show I gave in Atlanta and we’ve been in touch ever since, helping each other on various projects & activities. When Ericka announced her plans to start a Sewing Circle at ymib, I knew we had to get involved, and we look forward to exchanging ideas & creative inspiration along the way!

To get things started, we’re offering one lucky winner a choice of any one of my how-to project books: African Accents, On The Go!, or Global Expressions. All you have to do is post a response to our survey question. Then take a few minutes to check out the CE website. You'll also receive a subscription to Cultured Expressions' free e-newsletter, featuring new products, upcoming events and more. Post your response by May 5 and you’ll be entered into the random prize drawing.

Decorating & Crafting on TV!

Hey all -

I wanted to share the news that I was recently invited to be the recurring House & Home expert on "Daily Connections", a talk show featured on satellite station Ebru TV. If you're interested in culturally diverse decorating, crafting, sewing & quilting projects & ideas, you can tune in Monday thru Friday, at 10am, repeating at 2pm, or if you don't have satellite, you can download the episodes one week after they air, at www.ebru.tv.

So far, I've appeared on Episode # 210 (Fabric Collections), #222 (Indian Block Printing), #223 (Crafting with Wallpaper Borders) and #224 (Girls' Spa Night). It's inspiring to be a part of a station whose philosophy is based on presenting a mix of styles & cultures, and enjoying the best of what each of us has to offer. The cooking segments and informational features are very good, too! My future episodes will be listed on the event calendar on my website at www.CulturedExpressions.com

Enjoy the shows, and keep creating!
